    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    A desperate plea for help.

I'm writing this paper for my bb test, on the benefits of the martial arts. And, in an effort to seem at least somewhat researched, I decided to ask some people's opinions. So, what have the martial arts done for you? Why did you start? What's the average wingspan and airspeed velocity of a swallow?
Anyways, that's my desperate plea, go ahead and flame me for being in TKD.

I appreciate any help you can give me. I'm really screwed right now.

    You...need...to write...a paper...on martial arts?

    Holy ****.

Here's what you do. Walk up to your instructor, bow to him, then kick him in the nuts. Congratulations, you get your black belt.

I started training when I was 15. My instructor was an ex-marine from the Bronx, and we actually covered a lot of RBSD neck-breaking Applegate style stuff. This made me become more confident in myself whereas before I was a slightly overweight nerd without very much physical self-confidence. It allowed me to later expand into sport martial arts like judo and kickboxing, and it put me on a path where I eventually learned a lot about health through diet and exercise.

    Does that help?

Quit your McDojo. it's not worth getting a black belt if your system has you write cornball papers like this.

The sole measure of a 'black belt' should be your ability to perform. (at least in my opinion)

and I dont swallow, I spit. tee hee :5censored

I've heard of it before. McDojo's, of course.

Martial arts have helped me become less of a nerd (or is that more?), gave me some actual fighting ability (albeit not much, I'm still new at real martial arts), and some exercise.

I started MA so that I could fly like the people on TV. Now, I have developed a taste for pain and can't quit even if I wanted to.

Explain how martial arts have been watered down by the numerous mcdojos in the world by promoting pre mature (and pre pubesent) black belts and making you do bullshit things like acts of kindness, katas, and writing essays for your black belt.

Wait, if you can't write it yourself...don't you fail at martial arts?
