It's funny, Vancouver has a huge R.C.M.P HQ building, but they don't do much work in the city because of our (hurting) municipal force. I've had to work with them out in Richmond and Burnaby though, as they have no local constabulary.
I have much more respect for the R.C.M.P than local cops. Not only is their level of training higher, they're usually much more professional than local jerk cops.

See! Nice to both sides of the law. Real professionalism.

That's intersting nieldo. I usually hear the opposite. Cal and Edmonton municiple cops are supposed to be among the best. Haven't heard much about the lower mainland ones though.

OhOH, I have no dis-respect For the EPS. I actually have a friend who (last i knew) was part of that force. And, 'To serve and Protect' is pretty much my favorite TV show. EPS cops are hilarious!
Oh yeah, and our boy Phoenix. Represent!

I was once working security for the klondike days up in edmonton. EPS are so fucking hardcore, we love them! They don't ***** around like RCMP, they go straight for the tasers and pepper-spray.

Provincial forces would be more like Highway partol...
RCMP are federal... they do the policing of provincial forces where there is no provincial force...
