Midwest ThrowDown Interest??

I'm new to the Bullshido forums and I'm wondering whether there is anyone out there interested in an Midwest, Wisconsin or Minnesota area, throwdown. I'm not experienced enough, nor do i have the facilities, to host such an event but i'm trying to get the ball rolling.

Anyone with an interest should either post or drop me a eletter.

Hi, right now I'm not able to throwdown due to health issue...but in a few months I should be able to play. I'm in Milwaukee.

Maybe some of the Chicago guys...

There's a few of us... I was hoping to have people over at our place, but we moved out of our old dojo and don't really have proper space to host anything. I was about to make a new thread here about a Minnesota mini-TD, but unless people don't mind training in a racquetball court someone else will have to offer space.

I just drove down to Indiana a couple weeks ago and probably can't make another trip very soon with school and such. If it were more like February/Late Januaray at the earliest, maybe we could carpool it?

In the mean time I think there are a decent number of us in the Twin Cities/Wisconson area to do something anyway... unless everyone wants to bundle up and play in the snow, best I can offer at the time being are the concrete floors in my college's cafeteria (building is open 24/7). At least there'd be a good amount of open space.

There have been throwdowns hosted in chicago in the past.

Though I won't go down there to train, if there is ever one hosted in Milwaukee I am game for sure.

i like the sound of a February TD, that would work really well for me with classes, etc. I've been talking to a few sensei around the Wisconsin/Minnesota's larger cities about open sparring, and the general consensus is positive (with proper protective gear, mouthguards, gloves, footpads, cups,) but no-one in these larger cities has given me the Go-Ahead as of yet. Minneapolis, madison, green bay, mankato are the four most promising so far, a bunch of good shits in those cities.

my TKD dojo would be a great place, we've got an adequate amount of mats available, something like 25'x75' and al the other training goodies, but unless people want to travel to Eau Claire Wis. then we need somewhere else. EauClaire is west central wisconsin aboutish.

for instance, what sort of facilities? what are these prices you talk about for? do we have to pay to use them? etc thx
