    2012 Dallas Invitational Judo Tournament

Since the competition forum looks like its now focused on MMA only and the Advanced Grappling forum looks like it is more for technique, I'm posting this here out of lack of other options. Mods feel free to move this to a more appropriate sub-forum if you feel like it.

OK, so who will be competing in Dallas on November 3rd? I'll be competing in the Senior Novice division at 73kg. I hope to see (and/or throw and/or choke) some fellow Bullies there.

There's a chance i'll be in. It depends on when i'm going back to DC. Wanna carpool if so?

Carpooling would be great, but I'm almost as far from Austin as Dallas is. Cleburne is an hour to the SW of Dallas. The closest place for me to meet you w/o having to backtrack too much would be in Hillsboro. Weigh-ins are Friday evening (mandatory) and the Seniors won't start until Saturday afternoon. You're welcome to crash at my place Friday night if you need a place to stay closer to Dallas.

This one actually shows the route from Cleburne to the Irving Convention Ctr, which is where the tournament is being held.

Dang. I lost both of my matches. I lost the first one on points and the second one to a pin.

Dude, I am proud of you. That is a huge tournament with some great programs representing. I am also sure you know what you need to work on to be even more competitive next time. What rank are you now? Did you compete in Novice, was it Masters?

I'm still a yellow belt in Judo, so I competed as a Senior Novice. Both of the guys I fought were blue belts in their late teens or early twenties.

Dont be down on yourself. You went and competed which a lot more than most people can say.
