Just out of curiosity, where are you located? I like to monitor the spread of GKR outside of Australia. There are a couple of GKR dojos in Houston, one of which is just down the street from my BJJ school. If there's a God in heaven, please send one of those door-knocking bozos my way...

I love it when Go Kan Ryu comes door knocking. I let them in and keep them there talking for about an hour. just to see how well they sell the stuff.
There was a big thing in my dojos area that they were doing there door to door stuff and they were taking VCR's jewellery tvs and other such valuables as deposits for memberships.
Go Kan Ryu = Bad. :smiley:

The hells?! And how were they supposed to proportion their commission?

And I thought it was just the guys up top who were the problem...

Dude, those guys came knockin' on our door twice.
A friend of mine got a black belt in it, and he's forgotten most of his kata. He got the black belt when he was 13, and the grading apparently was piss easy.

On the other hand, another friend recently got his black belt in Shodokan, and he had to prep up for the grading for a month in advance, keeping a strict diet and training regime, and the grading itself was hella tough from what he says.

No contact karate = crap
