    Hell yeah! Hell no!

Would Enshin karate be a good replacement for cardio?

I'm planning on using it as a replacement for an half hour of cardio, especially since it's very rigorous. Would it work?

If it's intense and it gets your heart rate up, then yes, it is cardio.

I don't really do any cardio outside of training, because I think training is cardio enough and I'd rather wear myself out learning techniques than learning how to run fast. (which, if my technique is good enough, I shouldn't have to do).

There are actually a lot of fighters who do no extra cardio outside of drills, sparring, etc.

I say go for it. Enshin karate is a hard contact style with harsh training much like Kyokushin.
I can't speak for all Enshin or Kyokushin schools but from my experiance training there will get you huffing and puffing in no time. Any cardio benefits you recieve (pad work, kata, sparring) will directly related to fighting too.

SO yeah, if its to replace running - do it.

Whenever I read a post typed by Hannibal, I'm always left with a tough moral decision. Do I let Hannibal get away with being a douchebag, or do I derail an otherwise constructive thread to call him on it?

    I need moral guidence.

Persons in certain style fields can make calls such as those. Fields where the practitioner cannot make calls of their opinion(s) are as follows:

1- People who frequently use the term Gong-sau ad-nauseum.
    2- ATA-Taekwondo instructor.
    3- Archer.
4- Hannibal's parents(Since they brought him into the world that have reneged on that responsibility years ago)

    Wait !!

There is another option you have not considered. How about offering advice to the guy who started this thread and is asking the questions. WHo knows ? You maybe able to help him. There. Either that or you can **** off.
