Just google any nutrient that you want and you will find other food that has it.
P.S. Sorry if this is the answer that you were not looking for.
What's special is that it magically enables me to open up Google and look up "Nutritional Yeast" instead of asking why it's special and giving an unhelpful answer.

This is especially funny because you ask what nutritional yeast is RIGHT before you tell me to use Google to look up food alternatives.

I did that one and didn't like it.

mixing it in coffee is bad too. (I know how you love it! :new_all_c )

I tried holding my nose and eating it.

    Didn't work.

    At all.

That **** "burns" your tongue and has a flavor all on its own.

If the OJ trick doesn't work, I'm going to get rid of this **** and write it off as a lost cause.

At the next Chicago Throwdown, we should have a yeast-eating competition.

Not just "yeast," but brewer's yeast. It's very good for you, if you can stomach it. I never ate the kind that "burns" though.

    Not really.

Very large fruit smoothies in the morning, some sort of meat for a mid-morning snack, starch for lunch, something with more protein before heading home for work, then usually a large serving of vegetables with a small cut of meat.

    Then just a few supplements.

    So, something like:

    Smoothie
Usually 6-7oz of fish 90 mins before working out
    Pasta
    Cottage Cheese before heading home
At least 12oz of steamed spinach, mixed peppers, and broccoli along with a 3-4oz cut of chicken, turkey, or buffalo.

I'm trying to work the yeast in because it has a shitload of nutrients, but I'm beginning to think otherwise about the cost-benefit ratio.

The nutritional yeast grown on sugar beets is not nearly as Gawd awfull as the stuff grown on hops.
