[17:50] fartafull: hey
[17:50] KhunKaoCharuad: sup
[17:50] fartafull: im pretty amused
[17:50] fartafull: wrestling started eh
[17:50] fartafull: and after im dickin round with my coach
[17:50] fartafull: anyways
[17:51] fartafull: i ask about the switch
[17:51] fartafull: a position reversal
[17:51] fartafull: we get more into the specifics
[17:51] fartafull: then hes like, but in reality it doesn't work that way, cause id be chokin you out
[17:51] fartafull: he goes for a judo style rear choke
[17:51] fartafull: and i defend and then we start rollin for sub
[17:51] fartafull: it was so funny
[17:51] fartafull: I'm locking up a triangle choke
[17:51] fartafull: stop!
[17:52] fartafull: he starts lecturing me on how (When i still didn't have it fully adjusted and it was on for like 3 seconds)
[17:52] fartafull: its too advanced
[17:52] fartafull: and how he could slam me
[17:52] fartafull: which i think demonstrate the ability of letting go and slipping back for a leg for a toe hold
[17:52] fartafull: he keeps lecturing me about how thats stuffs too advanced
[17:52] fartafull: and how i'm not being taught right
[17:52] fartafull: and as a wrestler he turtles
[17:53] fartafull: so i have his back to the side
[17:53] fartafull: so i'm trying to pry and arm out for an armbar
[17:53] fartafull: hes like
[17:53] fartafull: whoa
[17:53] fartafull: see you don't have your basics down
[17:53] fartafull: my neck was right there
[17:53] fartafull: i point out i didn't have my hooks in
[17:53] fartafull: he starts lecturing me more
[17:53] fartafull: i figured i must have armbarred him 2-3 times
[17:53] fartafull: but apparantly i'm not being taught right
[17:53] fartafull: WTF?!
[17:53] KhunKaoCharuad: LOL
[17:53] KhunKaoCharuad: one of the guys I train with used to do BJJ and stuff
[17:53] fartafull: i mean i heard how hes full of himself
[17:54] fartafull: but hahah
[17:54] fartafull: WTF?!
[17:54] KhunKaoCharuad: and had the same experience
[17:54] KhunKaoCharuad: with advanced grapplers
[17:54] KhunKaoCharuad: you'd be rolling with them
[17:54] KhunKaoCharuad: and actually slap a hold on them
[17:54] KhunKaoCharuad: so to save face, they start lecturing you and turning it into a "teaching experience"
[17:54] KhunKaoCharuad: rather than simply admit "you got me"
[17:55] KhunKaoCharuad: instead, they save face because they "helped" you through it
[17:55] fartafull: yeah
[17:55] fartafull: i kept telling him to go hard
[17:55] fartafull: and actually try
[17:55] fartafull: to act as if i thought he was giving me them
[17:55] fartafull: ohkay
[17:56] fartafull: 2 armbars
[17:56] fartafull: i positioned sort of for an omoplata but finished it as a kimura
[17:56] fartafull: there were some more he did just give me
[17:56] fartafull: stuff that i pointed out for demo
[17:56] fartafull: but seriously
[17:56] fartafull: wtf
[17:57] fartafull: can i post this convo on bullshido?
[17:57] KhunKaoCharuad: go ahead
Permission to post this from rocketknees was granted.
Hahah, what is it with people that try and save face when they are caught. (Is it so hard to say, Ya got me?)
Did he start preaching because he never tapped me once?
I almost started laughing when he started telling me the triangle choke was too advanced. BTW, I know he can school me in wrestling, but I definately notice wrestlers just love to turtle.

That's pretty funny. It's also pretty common for older, non-legit black belts. *Slap on textbook triangle* Black Belt: "Yeah that's good! Good job!", or if he's a moron, "Um, yeah, well, you're doing it wrong.".

yeah thats a sweet highlight, but unlike when arona was getting lifted up, i let go and snatched a leg.

i always get told "yeah, but in a comp we would have got stood back up 20 seconds ago, and i'd have ippon'd you by now"
the worst thing about that, is that its true

yes, sadly that is a reality in most judo competition nowadays.

the guys I roll with stop me all the time when I'm doing something, be it an escape, pass, or sub attempt, to give me pointers. I still really suck so I don't think they're doing it just to save face from losing, they all tap me all the time.

Hahahha, its a new word damnit!
Like saying "Ya know" or something like that, or it can be used as a question.
It's a very flexible word I tell you.
BTW, I'm really likin this new hybrid I came up on the spot with.(although im sure i'm not the first to use it)
so for going for his right shoulder
you pull your left foot up into rubber gaurd, then pivot out to the side in order to secure control of that arm to make sure he won't be slipping it out (triangle his arm)
Don't go up totally and finish it as an omoplata tho, instead just grab his arm and figure four it, and kimura it.
I find its good for control and allows me to pull gaurd again if I **** up.

You should choked him out instead of letting him flap his gums, eh? :P"Prison is for rapists, thieves and murderers. If you lock someone up for smoking a plant that makes them happy, you're the fucking criminal." - Joe Rogan
