Shooters... If you had only one

the military has used HP rounds for decades. Typical bullet snipers fire is a boat tailed hollow point. its just cheaper to supply everyone with FMJ as they are more reliable to feed and cost less to purchase.

For what its worth, Id prefer a battle rifle like a FAL or G3 over a light foregin made assault rifle like the AK any day. .308 is FAR more plentiful in the states than 7.62 Russian.
Has excellent range and power, for both hunting and defense needs. Large supply of parts and magazines and both are dead to rights reliable up the behind. Why compromise on accuracy or reliability when you can have BOTH easily?
preferred pistol? doesnt really matter in this country but a SW J-frame in .357 will serve you in a heart beat. The thing will NEVER break. Will NEVER need oil or parts replacement. Has power up the arsehole and is accurate and portable. Any defnese work will be best served by my rifle since i would have it. If i HAD to choose an auto, either a Glock or a USP in any major round will do 9, .40 or .45 they are all fairly equal in power anyways.

Hmmm.....

Rifle: .22 Caliber Anschutz, Fortner Action, Custom stock, Lots of CCI Blue Tag and extra clips. I can cover a ten round group with a quarter at 50m. W/o scope. I love my Anschutz.

Pistol: Heh... eeee-yeah I would shoot myself in the foot before I hit anything useful.

Rifle: Shotgun actually, Remington 870, loaded with 00 buckshot and some extra slugs for fun (I've only fired small rimfire .22 rifles)
Sidearm: .40 Glock 21 (I like the 9mm alot more for shooting, but .40 feels alot more powerful and I've been told so as well)
Knife: bigass machete

Look into that statement. Those sniper rounds look like hollowpoints due to the manufacturing process, but if you were to cut it down the length, it is solid. There are laws against using such rounds that are strictly adhered to by US forces.

It's actually The Hague Convention of 1899, Declaration III. The Geneva Conventions are more concerned with people than with stuff.

Back to the topic, I can't fix **** and I've never fired at long ranges (I've only qualified on the M16A2 and I don't shoot further than 30 feet at the local range). This means I need something reliable and I won't be sniping any time soon.

Rifle: AK-47. My other options include the M16A2 and the M1, but this one is easier for me to use.
