While I agree Hopkins isn't an exciting fighter, he is a very smart fighter, which is what makes him enjoyable to watch. Which is what seperates him from some of the other boxers mentioned, who are poor boxers, meaning yes they're better than me, but worse than the averege middleweight you'll see on TV.

Also, I think if you love boxing you loved watching Mike Tyson in his prime, he was just a walking advertisement for amazing footwork, defense and counter punching.

Agreed. In his day, Mike Tyson was a machine. Great balance, great movement, great hand speed, huge power. He fought sloppy, meaning he could get wild at times, but he had the power to pull it off. I remember watching him when I was a kid (28 now) and just marveling at his dominance of the heavyweight division. Granted, talent was a little thin then, but it was clear that Tyson was a cut or two above everyone else at the time. We'll never know what would have happened, had Cus D'Amoto lived four or five more years, but I think it's safe to say that Iron Mike would not have lost to someone on Buster Douglas' skill level. Would have been great to see a dominant Tyson take on a peeked Evander Holyfield. Tyson became such a mess, it's truly tragic.

I think getting rid of trainer Kevin Rooney contributed to his demise. Rooney kept him focused in the gym and in the ring. It was at the Douglas fight that he started surrounding himself with crappy cornermen and advisors affiliated with Don King.

Without a doubt my pick is Giant Silva. Every time he's on a Pride card I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

He doesn't count because I've blocked the one fight I've seen of his from memory.
