Apparently we eat better here on the west coast.

It seems that a number of us are on the larger end of the bell curve on height and weight, particularly compared to some of the east coast and canadians.

At least dues/dan and anthony outweigh me.

    Dibble,
That's the bare minimum Sayoc player's rig. You should see my instructor's rig...

I have the Starter rig. As I said, that's bare minimum.

Dochter, I may outweigh you, but it's all fat. =T

    Anthony,
That's four inches taller and 110 lbs heavier than me.

Normally, I'd say I was grappling, but I was taking down and mounting people, and JFS has kindly informed us that takedowns and being mounted are neither grappling nor anti grappling, so I'm not sure what the **** I was doing. Maybe schroedinger's sparring, where it's neither grappling nor anti-grappling until somoene observes it and collapses the waveform, and then I RNC a cat to death.----fatherdog

    D - Cute.

Actually, a few years back I knew a girl who liked to go out with a gazillion knives on her in every imaginable way--shoulder holster, cross draw sheaths, thigh and ankle sheaths, neck knives, folders, you name it. You couldn't really tell 'cause she wore such baggy clothes...Jeez, if the people around her only knew.

Personally, I thought it was overkill, but there's no reasoning with the paranoid. And, uh, I didn't care *that* much to argue the point. I mean, what if she got mad?

Good article btw about Sayoc Kali. I'm looking forward to meeting with you Deus and seeing it in action.

I'm pretty handy with a knife now, all training came from my uncle who spent alot of time in the PI jungle as a Mineral Engineer. Some of my cuts are definately more Silat than anything else.

    Dibble,
That's just my training rig. I'm sort of the black sheep of the Sayoc clan, I don't really carry live blades. ^_^ Once in a while, if I feel like it, I'll carry a folder. Of course, I'm succumbing to peer pressure. =( Hahaha, actually, I'm probably the weirdest guy in my training group because I know the most about knives, but I carry knives the least. =T But hey, more power to your friend. Whatever makes her comfortable. ^_^
I thought it was clear that the knives were trainers. ^_~

    Anthony,
Article about Sayoc? What the..? Hahaha, I have almost no experience in Sayoc, but yes, I'm looking forward to seeing some of your work, and trading ideas.
