    I actually tried it on a guy that weighs significantly less than me (195-200 to my 240 or so), and it worked okay. I probably didn't get it exactly right, but the result was similar. Not something I'm generally in a position to use, though. Who knows if it would work on a guy of similar size/weight/strength.

    i liked the turtle attack at 45 seconds and the transition from face down armbar to face up armbar at 1min 2 seconds, does anyone know enough about sambo to know if they are standard type attacks? or just fedor specials

    ah well, something else to have a look at in the dojo next week

    Yes, pretty standard. Remember, Sombo is basically just a hybrid of judo and wrestling with leg locks added to the mix.

    Both the techniques you're talking about are simple judo techniques that you'll see in any high level judo tournament.
