How do you sue someone?

Well thanks everyone, especially Samuel, even if it was reluctant.

I guess I should've rethought the question to be, "Where should I start looking?" but I think the answer is pretty obvious. And thus, this was a waste. :(

That's cool. I'd rather be that then like the guy who ran around naked at the throwdown and then challenged people to grappling matches, professing that I was in fact, not gay and that this was how we did it at my Dojo, and it only hurts for a few seconds.

It's one of those things that you need to do to be an accepted member. Just think you're somewhere else and hum a song to yourself, the more you think about it the longer it seems to last.

Actually illegal to just give legal advice might be two strong a term, in some juristictions the dividing line is probably when money is charged for services, or the services involve actual actions, i.e. attempting to appear in court on someone's behalf without law license.

I was told by my pre-law advisor (in Texas, mind you, our laws are screwy) that if I someone went in to court and mentioned that I had told them to say a certain thing or plead a certain thing, I could actually be barred from attending law school for giving out legal advice. Now that you mention it, it does sound kind of fishy, but I always tell everyone that I'll give them plenty of advice in a few years once I have this degree.
