Peter DeBeen BJJ in Melbourne Aus

    Hi Guys,
My first post, be gentle. :)
Love the site it's awesome, been lurking for quite a while.
I've finally come to the decision to join up a BJJ club.
There is a Peter DeBeen club in StKilda that I'm going to visit on Saturday.
Now I've heard it's a good club but does anyone else have any opinions on it in regards to other clubs in the area.
Does anyone from Bullshido train there?

    Website is www.peterdebeen.com

    Cheers
    Ben

I've trained at Peter de Been's in St Kilda for about three years now.

Whilst I will not compare it to other clubs, I will say that Pete is an excellent teacher, coach and communicator, who has taken my training partners and myself far. Our competition record (hosted on afbjj.com) pretty much speaks for itself in this regard. I've found it a very supportive environment in which to train (although I'm fairly obviously biased).

I would advise you to come in on Monday, Wednesday or Friday, however, as Saturday is pretty much an open mat session. Whilst you will be taken care of, you won't get the full experience of a normal class.
