I've never heard of the superglue thing, but I find that this stuff called Bepanthen works a treat. It's actually a nappy rash cream, but the reason it works is because it is an antiseptic that also keeps the area moist so it doesn't keep splitting, and because it's a really oily cream it doesn't just wash/wipe off in five seconds. You can get it at pharmacies.
