    Hell yeah! Hell no!

Your desert island top 5 pieces of media of all time

Got this idea off High Fidelity; if you had to choose 5 pieces of media; books, comics, tv shows, movies, songs, games to take to a desert island/foreign country/neighbouring planet/jail with you, what would they be? Assuming that peripheral devices required to enjoy/experience these pieces are provided. What would your five favourite pieces of entertainment be, and why? Preferably, each of your 5 objects should be of a different media.
Rad ki was made up by adolescents. I do not know who created trad ki but it was not made by adolescents. your an ass dude, Im not being a little bitch you are, your past the level of a bitch. I just can't think of a song or TV show that would have anything to do with porn.

Dude, porn is media too. You can post "the one where that asian chick tongues the midget in a bikini" and then post pics to prove it.

I've currently got, in no specific order

    1. South Park: The Movie (I'm a big South Park fan because I believe there's more truth and education in South Park underneath all the toilet humor than most people see)

    2. Resident Evil 4 (one of the best games I've played, ever)

    3. Once Upon A Time in China 2 (Jet Li vs Donnie Yen at the end is the way martial arts movies should be; if this movie had been released in the US earlier, Bruce Lee probably wouldn't have enjoyed the amount of hype that he got)

    4. High Fidelity (totally changed my perspective on ****)

    5. Final Fantasy 7 (played it more than any other game I can remember)

1.) One thousand and one Arabian Nights. (The collected stories)
2.) Cold Roses (the album) by Ryan Adams
    3.) Marvel vs. Street Fighter
4.) Final Fantasy 8. I haven't played it in years, but I enjoyed it a lot when I did (**** you, cheesy RPGs hook me in every time), and it has a happy ending. Something I couldn't say about my life, since I will be stranded for life.
5.) Some sort of meditation instructional book. If I'm stuck on a deserted island for the rest of my existence, I might as well take up a hobby that eats up a lot of time.

Edit: Didn't explain the sentiment/emotional import of all my choices.

1.) Arabian nights is just a solid collection of nifty tales. Grew up reading them.
2.) Cold Roses is an amazing album that I seem to identify my retarded love life with quite a bit. I can listen to it over and over again and never get tired.
3.) I would have picked X-men vs. Street fighter, as I spent years and years playing this game (don't ask me why. Especially don't ask me why I almost always played as akuma and ryu and had a blast doing so), but I think this version retains the most similarities to that one and has the most characters at the same time.
4.) FF8 - As lame as it sounds, FF8 was one of those games that had an emotional impact on me. And it's fun. I hate myself.
5.) Meditation. If I have nothing but spare time and can't drink myself into a stupor, why not learn at least one healthy way to alter my state of consciousness?

I used to play some cheesy internet game called Gunbound quite a bit two years ago. I quit because I went to Japan and then didn't have my computer with me for over a month so I sucked when I finally got moved into my apartment. So if we can play online games, I would probably pick that.

    2. Vanilla Sky, I think the sheer visual beauty of this movie can be watched over and over again.

I fail to see how anything in an emulator folder at all can have any sort of emotional import, but hey, it's all good.

Edit: maybe I should elaborate, the concept isn't really about what's the most practical form of entertainment that you'd bring to a desert island, or what takes the most time or whatever; it's more along the lines of "if you were going away to a desert island tomorrow which 5 MEDIA ITEMS would you bring that meant the most to you"
