Tai can be translated to "body, substance, object, reality, style, or form". And jutsu is translated as "art" or "means".
techniqually the Bujinkan art is currently called Budo taijutsu or the body movement of the martial way. Interestingly lately on the new rank certificated Soke has changed the tai kanji from
    to 體術
    Meaning, `the body', `substance', `object', `reality'

The only problem I could forsee with a Ninjitsu FAQ, is that it could make a better Ninja Fraud.

The bigger they are, the harder they fall. It's nothing Bullshido can't do to bring them down.

I have a question for Koto, and this is a genuine one, not a smartass attempt to make fun of the Bujinkan :-

Now that you are also training in Kyokushin and Judo, what do you feel you get from Taijutsu that you can't get from the other two ?

I'd honestly like to know this one also. I'm looking for a good BJJ or JJ place around my area, so I'll be very interested in what he has to say.

I have a question: Is there any historical evidence that modern ninjutsu is directly descended from ninjitsu of like the 1600's?

Or was it reconstructed from other Japanese MA for the modern day?

It would be nice to see some objective historical evidence for the existence of a martial system restricted to 'ninjas'.

That going to the point of the FAQ.

If you refering to Ninjas as Iga no mono (men of Iga) then yes there are, Momochi Clan arts like Gyokko Ryu and Koto Ryu are Ryu-Ha restricted to the Iga no Mono. However, if you mean Ninjas as a group a stealthy assassins, blah blah blah. Then no becuase Ninjutsu in that context in a subsystem of many schools of Japanese arts.

This is going to be addressed in the FAQ.
