I'll write more tomorrow when I have access to a high speed connection instead of @#%^&*!! dial-up. But the Reader's Digest condensed version is that those of you in/around LA can come see me get beaten down at the Gathering on Nov. 20. I am out of shape, haven't trained in nearly 3 months, and will get thoroughly raped out on the mat. But for entertainment purposes, seeing a bullshido member get his ass handed to him, it should be passably fun. Ciao for now, new sorrow tomorrow.

Dude, I totally hope that is you in your avatar.
There's no choice but to confront you, to engage you, to erase you. I've gone to great lengths to expand my threshold of pain. I will use my mistakes against you. There's no other choice.

No, that's not me in the avatar. It's a pic from Kombat Instruments, Ltd., Nick Papadakis' site. If it was me, I'd be with my sugardaddy right now, not posting here.
So here's the lowdown. I went to Crafty's DBMA class on Saturday, and he guilted/tantalized me into agreeing to fight at this Gathering, despite my woeful lack of preparedness. This being my 3rd Gathering, I will be (hopefully) beginning the process to becoming a full Dog Brother.
Emergency preparations are under way. My diet has switched to less than 20g carbs/day until the 20th because I just need to strip weight as fast as possible. My training will consist of footwork drills combined with stick swinging almost exclusively, to the exclusion of groundwork. No illusions that I'll be able to stop the charge/takedown, simply an understanding that my time is better spent on resharpening existing skills as opposed to trying to develop non-existent ones.
The details for the Gathering can be found at The Dog Brothers Website. So for anyone in the greater LA area, if you've got nothing better going on 20th, come check it out. Cheer on my opponents, laugh at my pain, ridicule me in the forums following my humiliation. And see some great fights (probably not mine).

Hah, and you could be stuffing manapua and cuttlefish with the boyz at that Hawaiian Kempo (or whatevertheycalledit) school. Serves you right for wanting some rough "alive" training.
Good luck man.

Are you gonna video Poi?
Good luck to you.

Crafty usually has 2 or 3 cams going, but because of some previous trouble with non-affiliated people selling video of the Gatherings, no one else is allowed to video the Gatherings. It sucks, but oh well. Dogzilla and myself (and probably others) have asked Crafty if he would consider maybe selling the video of each fighter's fights to the respective fighters (hope that makes sense). Crafty is still mulling it over, so we'll see.
I do have video of Dogzilla, myself and the Full Contact Hawaii crew and our fights in Hawaii. Once I get the video from my Dad's house and figure out how to convert analog to digital, I'll try and get them posted.
