I do not see a good transition to armbar/triangle from here. Your knees are together in his chest and your body is straight as if standing from his chest, with only your head/neck on the floor. In this position, I am distancing my face from his hands, as a defense to GnP; I care more about controlling his ankles.

Ok, I was thinking about it from the knees. I suppose you can transition to open guard easily if he drops down onto one knee.

Actually, you can't go to open guard if they drop their elbows first.
