I'm saying there is usually no good reason to live in school housing and you should choose not to buy housing from them. If they have a rule against it, find grounds to protest the rule. You are buying something from a college. Something fucking expensive. Something that costs as much as a car or a home should come with some customer service and respect.

I HATE dorm life. I could not go back to a dorm.

I agree I love it. I also like the chicken and turkey in a bag. Ham in a bag is gross though.

Personally I would prefer to have gotten an on-campus apartment this year, but my friends wanted to stay in the dorms and get us on the same floor for whatever reason. I didn't really have strong enough feelings to really push for the apartments, though I do want to get into an apartment next year. At least in those they don't have these stupid restrictions. Dorm life doesn't bother me too much though, you just have to be really creative in how you use the space.

Plus our college somehow likes to slap us with all sorts of crazy restrictions anyway. Last year me and some friends wanted to play handball outside in the quad with a tennis ball, and some people came up to us saying that we had to stop because they didn't allow people throwing things around outside the resident halls like that, like it could cause some sort of injury (even though they allowed frisbees, I don't get it).

Oh, and I live in a dorm room because it's free (for me anyways). It's not bad, I have a double-sized room to myself. Hopefully next year I'll be living in the fraternity house.
