While the "sterotypical make believe" MA master would be a Miyagi and a Caine, fact is, in my +25 years of MA experience, in 3 continents, and having meet "old school" masters from Korean, Chinese, Thai and Japanese systems, all of them uber-traditional, I have this to say:

What a bunch of sick fucks !!

Great giuys but nasty habits, sick sense of humour AND violent SOB to boot !

EX:
Definition of Hapkido by a HIGH ranking Korean TKD master ( 1st generation).
Hap = Korean Whore
Ki= Fucking
Do = way

Hapkido is the way of fucking a korean whore.

What part of "I don't fucking care" did you not understand? You can forget about appealing to authority, it won't help your argument. If Kimura materialized here and told everyone that no-contact aikido is the only effective martial art, would every nutrider here suddenly drop their existing MAs and convert to aikido? Uh, I doubt it. What I personally believe has fuckall to do with what Kimura, Bruce Lee or Jesus believed.

This is a forum dedicated to fighting bullshit in the martial arts. Confusing fighting skills with the need for discipline or spirituality is one of the highest forms of martial bullshit. Do you understand now why we are making fun of you?

I don't understand why it took this many pages of trolling and spamming to get to the point. I have never confused fighting skills with discipline or spirituality. In fact, I never even mentioned spirituality, or fighting skill. I simply said that I personally believe that discipline is important. Now, what is so offensive about that? Could you try to give a rational answer in an adult matter?

All the Miyagi-wannabee senseis, sifus or coaches I have ever encountered were bullshido artists of the highest order. They usually believed in chi and did not encourage sparring.

The real-deal guys are mostly fucktards. Which does not mean they aren´t cool, of course.

There are at least 2 types of discipline as it relates to the MA.

1) the discipline to train -very important
2) the discipline that is equated with self control - not very important to the MA, but very important to the individual.

I believe it took so many pages to get to the point because

1) You just can´t get a clue, and

2) We are waiting for the video, so making fun of you helps the time pass.

Also, I edited my last post, introducing you to the marvellous concept of "objective reality", which is something we value very dearly around here. That and critical thinking, which go well together.
