I get it now. I just wanted to make sure. :gwbdance:
Jack LaLanne recommends drinking disgusting shakes right after working out because that's the only time when your body won't revolt at the taste because it needs the nutrition even more.
If I had a better blender/juicer, I'd probably go the disgusting route too. -

It's good for weight control.
Either the swill is so packed with wonderful nutrition that my body doesn't indicate hunger...
Or the idea of ingestion has been soured by the last experience, and I'm in no mental hurry to do it again.
Edit. You don't have a blender. :5wow:Last edited by Nid; 10/14/2005 3:49pm at .

I have a $20 Walgreens POS and a Braun hand-mixer.
I almost vomited the last time I had nutritional yeast (still have a jar in the fridge about 6 months old), so I might try it again at some point mixed with tastier ingredients like almond butter*
* I no longer buy peanut butter. Almonds are superior. -

If you throw in enough of the other stuff, the yeast fades into the background. Celery is particularly good for some reason. Spirulina too...if you don't mind the taste of algea. It really does TASTE primitive.
I will try almond butter.
And Jack LaLane might actually be onto something there.Last edited by Nid; 10/14/2005 4:21pm at .

I have used Jarrow's green foods (something like that) in the past to add to my shakes. It might have helped with my recovery but I am not sure.
I would like to try again because it feels like my calves have exploded.
