    maybe cause you suck.

Did you even get instruction on it? Or did you just pick it up and shade tree it.

lets sweeten the deal. You make a video of yourself using the weapon and then we'll see.

I'm confused. Anna? Did you mention how much hands on experience you have with this or other flail weapons? I know I didn't.. And yet the boy thinks he knows what training we do or don't have.

And I have a one up on Anna for this matter..

You take a three section staff, find Anna, or myself or someone of comparable experience and fight staff on sword and see what happens.

After that, find someone that wants to learn the weapon but is new to it. And I'll do the same with a sword, and each person will get six months of instruction. And then THEY'LL spar and we'll see what happens...

The problem is, the weapon is so highly ineffective, it takes years of training to even hit a tree without hurting one's self.

In other words, nodoby taught you how to use it so you just numbskulled it and did a "star wars kid" treatment. smart.

You said yourself, it takes one year to become proficient with it enough not to hurt yourself. How long does it take to be able to fight with it after that?!

You're probably not too far away from the Dog Brother's Academy. Perhaps you can ask if you can show up to a gathering with your 3 section staff and compete.

For someone complaining about a non-sequiter. If you want to, you can find someone who does kenjutsu of a comparable time line to Anna or I's european training.

Euro vs Asian isn't relevent. This is a crap weapon that take too long to train effectively versus a staple weapon that can be taught in around six months.

PS: if you're old enough to be my father that means I'll have to retract my willingness to spar with you, I don't like fighting sixty-something year olds, it's not fair.

The 3 section staff is a VERY dangerous weapon...

... that is to say, it is very dangerous to the person using it.

A few truths about the 3SS:

    1. It takes a LOT of practice to use successfully.

    2. It is fun to train with...but not that practical to use today.

    3. It is a cool weapon since it is one of a few that can be used for short, medium, or long range.

    4. In the hands of someone who knows what they are doing...it can **** you up.

    5. There are VERY FEW people who know what they are doing w/ a 3SS.

    6. You should wear a cup when practicing!.. and don't practice w/ 3SS made of hardwood.
