Style: None, at present--
Ah, memories. In about 1983 I bought a 3SS and a copy of Kam Yuen's book "Three Sectional Staff" from Asian World of Martial Arts and proceeded to beat myself half to death in my parents' backyard for several months as I learned the form in the book, and learned what a godawful, impractical weapon 3SS is. It combines the worst aspects of hard and soft weapons, IMHO -- there's three sticks (one more stick than you have hands) and when you try to stop it the laws of physics are going to make at least one of those sticks fly around from an unexpected angle and whack you. Plus, I had a 3SS with those stupid decorative metal rings (attached to the links that connect the sticks) that occasionally wedged themelves together just right to make one of the sticks stop in mid-flight.
3SS -- just say no, kids.
