The ultimate weight gaining method.....
I am(was) skinny as hell.
I tried damn near everything to gain weight. Changing my diet, eating at different times, eating certain foods while working out. None of it worked for me.
I tried eating as much as possible while weight training, no difference.
A few months ago I got a product called 2200 Gold from GNC. It's a powder that when added to milk, produces a 2200 calorie milkshake.
Well I tried it for a day and couldn't force myself to drink it. It was way to thick and way to chalky tasting.
About a week ago I talked to Lu, who also has used it, and he reccommended that I break the one glass into smaller portions throughout the day.
I tried this and not only did it work, but it worked vastly.
This is the 4th day of myself drinking it, (1)2200 calorie shake a day- broke into the 3 small portions, and I have already packed on 6 additional pounds.
This is the biggest I have been in my entire life, and I want to continue to put on more but I have to stop for now until after my fight(145 limit).
The only negative side I can see so far is that I have become pretty tired and lethargic in the morning.
So for those who of you who are looking to gain weight( I have seen a few on this board) try this. It's pretty much made up entirely of egg, soybean, and milk and runs for around 35.98 at GNC. However, the GNC near me is running a special where you buy 1 get one free. The only negative thing is that you get around 5 servings inside one container, so it's about 11,000 calories total. I just finished my first one and gained about 6 pounds. Lu reccommended that I have one in the morning, one before I workout, and one right after. I have been sticking to it and so far the results are far more than I expected.
Six pounds in four days would make the majority of that fat. You probably feel lethargic as well because you basically doubled your caloric intake in a short time, so your body needs to get used to it.
Well I am also heavily weight training. So it doesn't turn just to fat.
6 days a week at 1 hour periods.
Sunday - Upper body
Monday - Lower body
Tuesday - Upper body
and so on....
Rest on Saturday

Not all of it's going to turn right into muscle though.

Weight gainers are a great product if you break up the dosages and realize that you are taking the "always-save" line of products. Cheap protein + cheap CHO source + sugar + fat = high calories.
If that is what you need, then use it. At least it is cheap.
This discussion is similar to the premium vs. cheap beer talk.
No way did you grow 6 pounds of muscle in 4 days. Fatty.
