My understanding is that the Twister is a spine lock, by virtue of what it is attacking. I was orignally referencing him to give some explanation of what a spine lock is, in general, from a better player than myself.

Are you talking about pulling their head and pushing thier feet so their body is bent around your knee on their hip thus pressuring the spine?

The blue guy is on the bottom and the red on top.

    A. Red guys elbow is pushing on head to the right.
    B. Red guys knee is keeping blues body from moving to the right.
    C. Red guys legs are pushing blue guys legs to the right.

I thought that we agreed on no more MS Paint porn.

Also, where -- specifically -- did your partner feel pressure in his back?

I must have missed that agreement. Sorry about the picture of the stick-men being naughty in some spilled Alphabets.

relytjj, essentially, yes. Re-written using your format.

Red on top, blue on bottom:
    A. Red guy has his left arm under the head and the right arm across the jaw, pointing blue's chin to red's left.
    B. Red guys pressure on the jaw (crossface) is keeping blues body from turning to the red's right.
    C. Red guy's left leg pulls blue guy's right leg to the red's right by hooking the back of the blue's knee with red's foot.

RM: He did not specify where exactly he felt pressue, but instead said it felt like the spine lock we do from a failed RNC (this is his frame of reference for the pain)
