Objective evaluation of Shou Shu’s multiple attacker claims

Some arts, notably Shou Shu Kung Fu (AKA Moore’s Karate etc) claim to be “good” against multiple attackers. I’m a natural skeptic myself.

    Shifu Tiger:
i'm pretty confident i could handle 8 10 however many attack. it doesn't matter, just have alot of body bags ready with tags that say, "remains unviewable"! a shou shu blue belt is as good if not much better than any blackbelt in any other system. i'll bet good money u could take on at least 4 to 6 at the same time...... salute
    Name:
Yes it is good against multiple opponents.
    Mantis1997
very aggressive style very easy to learn not long on forms very practical good against multiple opponents, weapons etc....

why is it so hard for you trained martial artist to accept that in shou shu you can take on multiple oppentents(6plus or whatever) and win? you keep saying prove it, how exactly would you like us to prove to you over the web? why do you have a problem believeing that?
I’m encouraging Shou Shu’ers to demonstrate this ability in some sort of objective pressure test, perhaps at a throwdown.

How can you objectively test these claims, safely and unbiased? Suggestions please.
You are a total Douchbag. Train more, post nevermore.

As far as I know.Every style makes these claims.

Actually I'll correct myself just a little bit.Every style out there makes thses claims and demonstrates a well planed choreographed exhibition to the parents of students or at tournaments.

And thats the problem right there.Any Sifu/Sensei/Master can't create a plausible multiple fight with the lone martial artist winning out without several members of the attacking group keeping a distance.

They've got to be untrained in martial arts haven't they?

Turn up with 3 large rugby players with gum shields. Tell them to tackle him and sit on him.

Can I make a suggestion ? when the Shou Shu guys agree on a multiple opponent format where the claims can be tested, can the multiple attackers please be made up as Zombies just like in 'Thriller' ?

    That would kick ass.

    Thanks.

Or three wrestlers, or three boxers...

Against three or four timid, untrained guys, I think any trained fighter will do well. But add just one guy that knows what he is doing, and it all changes.

Four unarmed boxing glove wearing MMA(et al) guys has to be safer than 8 drugged up street punks who may be carrying weapons, as the claim implies. The attacker's being martial artists would hardly be a good excuse for failure, as the video would show the nature of the attack and people could judge for themselves.
