    Alton Brown rocks!

His is the best show on the Food Network, except for maybe Iron Chef.

It comes on at 7:00pm every week day I think on Food Network. Anyway, sorry for the hijack, just wanted to throw that out there.
To continue the hijack for a little while:

I was buying a new refrigerator and mentioned that if the stain on the plastic handle of the scratch and dent (in otherwords trying to get the price marked down even more :)) was fat based, it would probably not come out.

THe sales guy asked why and I was channelling AB when I explained that plastic and fat molecules share similar properties and so on and so forth....

"are you a scientist?" was his shocked response....

"No but I did stay and a Holiday INN last night"

He didn't get the joke either. :)

I am going to try using AB's episodes as teaching tools in my class sometime.

    Back to the Recipes.....

Any ideas on how to substitute honey for the sugars? I'm really trying to cut back on industrially processed sugars.

Yeah, I know that bees "process" honey.

"To use honey in place of sugar, use 7/8 cup for every cup of sugar, and reduce the liquid in the recipe by 3 tablespoons."

Hmm, I might monkey with that too.
