    Brit Rocker Quits Karate

British singer IAN BROWN quit karate because he couldn't stand being judged in class.

The rock 'n' roll rebel, who went solo after the STONE ROSES split in 1996, regrets giving up the martial art but insists he will not take criticism from anyone.

He says, "I was reading about BRUCE LEE and thought, 'Who are these people to grade me?' So I gave up at brown belt."

How about people who know more about what you're doing than you do you arrogant limey pricksickle? Bruce Lee was one in a million, and trained several hours a day nearly every day of his life. You're a spoiled whiny rock star. See any relation here?

Neither do we. Anyone want to lay odds that this guy couldn't pass the black belt test and that's the real reason behind this "story"?

His outstretched hands in that pic say: "My training is complete. I'm ready. Bring it."

Who is he to grade them. He is just one of those types that if something doesn't go his way if life he points the finger at everyone except himself. Probably one of the reasons he couldn't keep his rock group togther or his career.

Don't' be too quick to assume his instructors knew what they where doing though. It was Karate after all.

Now that I think about it, the question 'Who are these people to grade me?' would probably never enter your mind if you were doing a hard sparring style. The answer's too obvious in that situation. If, on the other hand, you're doing a "too deadly" style, then 'Are my instuctors really qualified?" becomes quite an important question.
