*sigh* No KM, no one has ever intentionally pantsed anyone at my dojo, but sometimes during in the midst of rolling your shorts get pulled downward. It's for this reason I prefer shorts with drawstrings. After all no one wants to see a man in a jock while rolling.
Shut the hell up and train.

    jnp,
Thanks for the Atama info. I'll check them out and see about ordering a gi in the next week or so. Also, on my first night, I didn't have my drawstring tied tight enough, and while pracicing the hip escape, my pants were coming down. Luckily I wasn't visited by the underpants gnomes the night before and had some on. It did help me escape, though. I think I'll rely on technique over stripping, however.

At my last JJ tournament my pants came down while I was fighting. The whole event got a good look at my black ass.

I just know it's gotten pretty bad. My trainer (who is a pro fighter) doesn't wear any of his gear anymore because he was sick of seeing people wearing gear, then asking them "oh cool man, you do mma? No? Oh, you do BJJ? No? " and then walking away just a little more dead inside.

I think we can all agree that the more blood you have on your gi or whatever makes you cooler, no matter what brand the clothes are.

I wear my bloody t-shirts sometimes when I spar to intimidate someone. They don't know it's mostly my blood, so it works.
