No that is not why we are here. You need to lurk a bit more. Otherwise you are in for the internet equivalent of an ass kicking.

We are here because we believe in aliveness and that any MA that does not is not an actual MA.

Be forewarned, members on this site don't think too highly of your MA of choice. It has many qualities that are despised here on Bullshido, such as refusal to enter into open competitions, cult like mentality and unverifiable lineage.

wow and I thought I was naive.... sigh....

I wasted 2 years and about 1000 bucks on the CSCs. Everything here is absolutely true. It is sad because people waste good portions of their lives and their, usually, limited incomes on it. Richard, I feel sorry for you, i really do. I loved the CSCs, but they got rid of some decent teachers and replaced them with idiots whose only ability was political. You will find, sadly, over time, that all said here is all too true.

You think not? How long has Sin Kwan The been flapping his gums about making a movie about his life? I have friends who work in the movie industry. The time for martial arts movies in the popular genre has come and gone. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon was its peak. Even Jet Li is leaving the genre. True there ARE some movies that do take YEARS to hit the silver screen and, yes, they have done well. They are the exception, not the rule. My guess? You will NEVER see a film on Sin Kwan The's life.

In any case, the whole bruhaha about vegans vs non-vegans is found in the Denver and Boulder schools, not in the Colorado Springs school. I found it funny that when they ordered pizza at a Christmas party (no, they didn't call it that. it was one of three times that they held testing in Colorado) the non-vegan pizzas disappeared VERY quickly and the vegan ones sat around for HOURS. lol

At this same December gathering, in fact at EVERY December gathering, they call in some PETA representative/tree-hugger. Somehow my name got on a mailing list and I found myself a recipient of a letter from the University of Denver Health Sciences Center explaining how they trained doctors.
Apparently one of the Shaolin do-gooders decided that it was "terrible" how they trained doctors at the University of Denver - live animal labs, etc. I was furious. I believe strongly in how doctors are trained in this country. I certainly would NOT want a doctor who hadn't seen the inside of a living breathing organism doing surgery on me. These idiots seem to want their doctors trained by computers or something. I find myself wondering from where they think the computer models originate.

Or another thought - toothbrushes. Where do these idiots think the bristles come from? (They might be plastic or they might actually be animal ligaments...) Do these people drive cars? YES. So what is it they REALLY care about? Anyway, obviously I can go on and on about their limited logic...

Suffice it to say, I agree with CAVEAT EMPTOR! I lost 30 pounds when I was training at the CSC, but as a rather highly trained army friend said to me "I don't think any of you guys could do any damage to anyone."
