Since you brought it up, Shaolin Do's Tai Chi is interesting. It's done FAR slower than any other tai chi I've ever seen. I have an old KET Karate video of Master Sin doing it, and it takes something like 25 minutes for the whole form. Of course, the explanation I got was that everyone else was doing it wrong.

Shaolin Do SUCKS and Sin is a completel wanker ... an ass clown ... he doesn't even rate being laughed at. "Belts" ... yeah ... right ... I've seen some of their "forms" ... total ****.
If you're in Colorado you would be far better off to go with something at least reasonably decent ... go see DeThouras ... Silat ... if you need an intro to him PM me. The BEAST -

Oh my god. You REALLY need to use the search funtion.
Shaolin Do is a scam on the largest order. The best thing that can be said of them is that some of their affiliate schools are run by really nice people and that as far as generic Karate goes...some of the training is ok.
Nothing to do with Shaolin.
Their "taijiquan" is garbage as is their Baguazhang and pretty much all the other so-called Shaolin stuff. No relationship whatsoever to actaul Chinese Martial arts.
But if you enjoy the workout, then suit yourself. Just don't delude yourself thinking that they are actually related to Shaolin.Fighting evil and upholding justice in blue silk pajamas baby!

So did you read my post because that was kind of the point of it...? I'm getting this vibe that you read "shaolin-do" in the title and assumed I posted a 10 paragraph defense of the school so pulled out your generic "shaolin-do sucks and you are delusional" response without actually reading what I wrote.

edit: I also wouldn't dispute that from the limited contact I've had with him that Sin The seems to be a pretty big wanker and also a pathalogical liar, but I left that out of my original post because I was trying not to be too inflammitory (at least at first).Last edited by artard; 9/08/2005 9:36pm at .

FWIW Sifu Eric at Wah Lum Denver is a great teacher. Don't know much about his school, only trained with the man a couple of times.
