The amazing thing about that fight was that it was after Arona seemingly handled Silva.

Seeing Shogun blast through opponents who Silva has had hard fights with such as Rampage & Arona just show this kid is the future of MMA. He is phenominal and will keep improving his skills.

I found it really odd since the first 3-4 minutes vs Overeem Shogun didn't look to good. Shogun definately came out like a man on a mission and steamrolled over Arona. Maybe Silva should lose more often.

if you notice after shogun did that high kick, when arona took him down, he did hit his head hard on the mat. looked like it stunned him for a moment, good enough for shogun to get that omoplata.

Overeem was trying to play the same game as Shogun, and had a superior reach. ONce Shogun suckered him in by offering up the guillotine (watch his hand placement on Overeem's hip just before the choke is applied. Worked like a charm to get him to the ground, and Shogun was never in danger). From there on out, Shogun was murderously dominant, and it was almost the EXACT same series of events that lead to Arona's destruction.

Styles make fights... Arona dominated a hesitant Silva, but was brutally murdered by an aggressive Shogun. Despite Arona's talk about Wand being the most one dimensional fighter left in the tournament, I believe that honor actually belongs to Arona, who has nothing for someone that refuses to be held to his gameplan of takedown, immobilize, wait for bell.
