Battle of the Hockey Enforcers
I'd be interested to hear if anyone sees this:
What a great concept!
I am a huge hockey fan, and I love a good scrap as much as any Cdn. boy who grew up playing the game, but this is just going to generate negative publicity at a time when we need to win back fans. The Bertuzzi incident was ugly, and I think the scrapping should be done within the context of the upcoming season. Not like this..
Just my opinion.
So are they going to fight in a ring, or on the ice wearing skates?
edit: 1 minute rounds while wearing skates.

Seeing hockey players fight is like seeing basketball players swim.
When I looked at the article this was the next story of similar interest/category according to the site:
Pit bull owners defiant as Ontario ban begins
I think that says it all.
I love hockey and even get in to the fights - even though when I'm NOT watching the game, I don't agree with it at all. Now, if you get your enforce to fight with the goalie while your sharpshooter sneaks one in the net....then it is 'part of the game'...but this is cheezie. Bad press, bad career move and why risk injury with the NHL just starting up?
I never heard anything about this stateside, and Bflo usually gets some Canadian interest stuff since we are so close to the border.
I like hockey, I like boxing. Combining them will be disaster and demonstrate a crass mockery of both.
The concept is moronic.
