Something I made: how to use straps

Every tutorial video on youtube shows them the same way, and I think I have something better here

    YouTube - Straps 101

I know I'm not the only one that uses this method, but it appears way more peoplea are using the first method I mention than the second.

Nice. Never seen them wrapped quite that way before. And nice taste in straps, too. ;) Ironmind rocks.

Nifty. Similar to the way mooring lines are tied up pierside. I'm not to the point on my deads where I need straps, but hey, now I know and knowing is half the battle!

On an amusing side note, while at the gym the other day I got treated to the scene of a guy doing 25lbs curls while using straps. Damn near caused me to lose my squat mid rep due to laughter.

If I was wealthy, everything I'd own would be ironmind. Products are incredible quality, but you do have to pay for it. The straps are the absolute best deal in town.

WW: I actually don't use straps on deads, but I like them for upperback work, like lat pulldowns and DB rows. They remove the hands from the equation, so you can focus on pulling with your back.

Word. I've had the "Short but Sweet" straps for years now. I see they're sewing the ends together now to make one loop. Hell, I was doing that in '03. Great minds, huh?

The Crossfit gym at Ft. Huachuca had the squat racks and Five-Star bench from Ironmind. I loved that bench, it was solid as a damn rock.

Interesting, never considered them for that.
