    I've been drinking chocolate milk like 5-6 glasses a day and it's helping me get my calories and protein. It hasn't done anything to my bowels.

    Well the thing is it's very easy to drink milk as opposed to making a sandwich, chewing it, and eating them several times per day mainly because you get full very fast eating solid foods. But I can drink over 500 calories of milk in one sitting without major discomfort. Now, if I drank 500 cals of milk every 3-4 hours with a meal, that would be about 2000-3000 calories of milk, plus an additional 3000 calories of food. The only problem I see is that the body would adapt eventually. At my age, I don't see any negative effects and since this is not a long term thing, I don't see myself getting cancer or ruining my digestive system.

    I eat a lot of yogurt. I find it seems to help. I have this TOTALLY UNTESTED THEORY that a controlled amount of dairy helps you lose fat.

    You don't need those kind of calories unless you're trying to bulk. And you certainly don't want that many calories from milk. Fatty.

    JohnnyCache, what you're referring to is the theory that calcium helps you lose bodyfat.

    And feedback, the fat in milk is not bad fat, it's fat that you NEED to burn for energy, unlike the fat you get from oreo cookies or cupcakes.

    ...and if it bothers you that much, drink skim milk.

    Fat content is inconsequential, it's the simple fact your body has 3000 extra calories each day. And it's going to do something with them. Something.

    I agree with this.

    The only milk I drink is goat's milk, and I don't drink much of that.

    I like whole, unpastuerized milk fresh from the cow, but I don't have access to it often. Even if I did, I would drink very little of it.

    I personally think cow's milk is unhealthy for humans.
