UFC 54 Official Discussion Thread, Results as They Come

First off.... $35.00??? Damn, I think we're going to see $50 UFC cards in the next few years. I guess it's a reflection of how the sport's grown, so those of us who have supported it from the early days can take a bit of pride in this at least.

35? 50? That's chump change to me and I make **** pay. Who cares? They put on great shows and I record them anyways to my DVR. So it's like buying the DVD at the same time for me.

Let's hope we can see Tra vs Tim.

A good comparison would be to look at fighters paydays in the 'old days' and compare the $$$ you paid for PPV. Then look at todays purses to the $35 we pay. I know that doesn't show the whole picture because of gate, merchandizing, DVD sales, sponsors/endorsements, etc but it could give us some comparison. Are we getting more for our money or less?

I think 35 bucks for a decent fight card is a good deal.

I'm not really complaining, but I remember the days of $19.95.
