If it follows the usual GP format the elimination matches will be first. And the finals will be the last match of the night. It gives the fighters as much time to recover as possible before fighting again.
Is Wayne Brady gonna have to choke a bitch?

Fedor Emelianenko (champion) vs Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic
Fedor by sub in the 2nd.

Mauricio "Shogun" Rua vs Alistair Overeem
Shogun his mad overrated, Ali mad underrated. Ali is more experienced (he fought in RINGS for chrissakes!) and will have a nice reach advantage. Besides stomping on some poor Japanese guys (the only notable one here is Gono), Shogun doesn't have much to his credit aside from his most recent win. As for his win over Rampage - Quentin was fighting with a broken rib from early in the fight. It was more bad luck for him than anything. Ali by TKO in the 2nd.

    Wanderlei Silva vs Ricardo Arona
Arona by brutal eye gouges, kidding. Silva by TKO in the 1st. I feel that the bad blood between these two will result in some emotional strike exchanges in the first, and Arona will take the worst of it. Either that or Arona will lay on him the whole time.

    Silva vs Overeem
Overeem has the reach once again but I think Silva will take care of business and get a TKO in the 1st. If Chuck could do it so can Silva.

    Igor Vovchanchyn vs Kazuhiro Nakamura
Vov by brutal KO in the first.

David "Tank" Abbott vs Hidehiko Yoshida
Yoshida by sub in the first.

    Fabricio Werdum vs Roman Zentsov
Werdum by whatever he wants in the first.

    :XXspam: is good.

Silva will dominate standing, but if arona gets the takedown then arona will dominate.

    1. Fedor by brutal ground and pound, or knockout from a punch. Yeah, that's right, I think Fedor can knockout Mirko standing. Have you seen those crazy hooks? If one connects, good night.

    2. Arona by decision or TKO. Arona is a take down master and jujitsu ace, and I don't think Silva will stop the takedown. If Yoshida could take down Silva and stall him for as long as he did, then Arona will take him down and completely control him. I expect a lot of knees from north-south.

    3. Shogun by TKO. Sure, Alistair is tall as hell, has a magical guillotine and a hot girlfriend. But his chin sucks, and his punches lack power. He has knees going for him, and a pretty decent ground game. Shogun has good knees, knockout power in the fists, good wrestling, and holds a brown belt in BJJ. Shogun by superman punch in the gaurd, ala Fedor. When Overeem gasses, Shogun by whatever he wants. Alistair gasses like crazy.

    4. (Winner of Arona/Silva and Shogun/Overeem) Arona by decision. Shogun has pretty good BJJ and pretty good wrestling, but Arona has better BJJ and wrestling and is probably a good deal stronger. Arona will take him down, lay on him, and possibly do some GnP, because the Silva fight is going to make him tired like no one's business.

    5. Igor by TKO. Nakamura has a pretty good chin, and Silva TKOed him on a bad decision on his part. Igor however, has GIGANTIC hands and lots of power to back'em up.

    6. Werdum by whatever presents itself first. Who the hell is this Roman guy anyway?

dude, I could I read that even without highlighting it.
I pointed at him [the panhandler], bringing my rear hand up in a subtle approximation of the double Wu Sau guard that is the default hand position in Wing Chun Kung Fu.

    "Step away," I hissed.

Fedor by GnP in the first

Overeem by guillotine in the first

    Wanderlei by decision

Igor by TKO in the second

realistically yoshida by sub, but I'm hoping for a kick ass tank knockout

I have no clue who the other two fighters are.
