Haha Lung = Ashida Kim. The Lin Kuei idea is bullshit, as is whatever other name Ashida/Haha called it.

Okay. For reference "documentaries" included on promotional DVD's, video games and any other such material ARE PROBABLY BULLSHIT. Citing them as a source MARKS YOU AS A FUCKING MORON.

I don't know. The one on the Halo 2 DVD about how the Master Chief was based on an ancient gladiator named Masterus Cheifus was pretty cool.

(If that was too dry for you - yes, I'm kidding)
There's no choice but to confront you, to engage you, to erase you. I've gone to great lengths to expand my threshold of pain. I will use my mistakes against you. There's no other choice.

An interesting interview with Haha Lung:

I don't think he's Kim, but it's hard to tell exactly WHAT he is.

Check out some of the books he's written down below.

3/00 Shadowhand: The History and Secrets of Ninja Taisavaki by Dr. Haha Lung, and Christopher B. Prowant. (Paladin Press) Reveals physical and psychological tactics and techniques of the Ninja's “Art of Avoidance”.

6/01 Black Science: Ancient and Modern Techniques of Ninja Mind Manipulation by Dr. Haha Lung and C.B. Prowant. (Paladin Press) Describes tactics and techniques ancient and modern “mind-slayers” use to get inside your head and how you can turn those tactics to your advantage.

Coincidence that Ashida also spells it "taisavaki" and not by its proper name? Also he co-wrote those with Christopher B. Prowant. Checked out on http://www.copyright.gov, you find out it's another psuedonym.

Haha Lung is also registered as a psuedonym. No real conclusive evidence, but plenty for me to form a hypothesis that they're one and the same. The writing styles are extremely similar as well.

But, Dynasty Warriors has an entire section devoted to the histories of the characters! You're telling me all the Chinese history I learned from it is wrong?

This is EXACTLY why I believe Haha Lung(fucking stupid name BTW) and Ashida Kim are the same person. The books he writes have the same cheesy content.

And there's also this one dude called "Dirk Skinner" which I've had the pleasure to view his book "Street Ninja" at Borders but this one had a peculiar style(It featured cartoonish illustrations and retarded RBSD crap). It's funny **** actually:

    http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...glance&s=books

But it kinda makes me wonder if AK wrote all these books under different aliases or if there were actually a group of weirdoes back in the 80s who were inspired by Kim's bullshit.

And I heard about the whole Lin Kuei **** from some 80s ninja mag my crazy ninja wannabe friend borrowed to me.

The last MK game was okay. Kinda weird playing as the blind guy that has "Judo" as one of his styles. Shitload of high kicks and punches, two throws, no subs.

How many MK games are there again? The last one I played was MK4, which was really fun with the close range ultra-realistic finishing moves.
