To Master Fung:
You've most likely found this page after noticing the unusual amount of traffic to your webite originating from Bullshido.com.
I'm willing to retract everything I've said if you just demonstrate your explosive chi on me. I will sign whatever waivers are necessary and put on any safety equipment you deem necessary. My challenge consists of two parts:
1) Demonstrate on me the energy you used that made that one student whimper without you even touching him.
2) Demonstrate on me your "explosive chi", using your shoulder or your hip to transmit the chi as in your online demonstration videos. No push hands, please.
Of course, we will videotape your efforts. If you succeed, I offer you the following:
1) I will leave my current school and train exclusively in Yi Chuan. Furthermore, I will pay double your asking rate. Your skills, if legitimate, are incredible, and I want to learn from you.
2) I will publicly retract everything negative I have reported and post a public apology.
3) I will recommend you to everyone I currently train with, almost certainly bringing you a bumper crop of athletic, committed, excited students.
4) I will contact the James Randi Foundation and make all arrangements for you to claim the $1,000,000 prize for the James Randi Paranormal Challenge.
I am sure your response will be that you have no desire to publicize your art and that you already make a comfortable living. However, if you are currently advertising for new students (which you are) and are charging your current students to train (which you are), you clearly have no fundamental objection to either receiving new students or making money. Therefore, please contact me if my terms are acceptable. Note that this is a personal challege and I do not claim myself to be a representative of either Bullshido.com or my current school in any way, shape, or form."I'm offering straight punch, kick while downed to the ribs or head, and of course- the german suplex...which is one suplex quickly followed by another." - Guerilla Fists

While most of you reading this realize that Master Fung is most likely not defying the laws of physics and therefore something fishy must be going on, many of you are probably also asking how he can trick an entire roomful of students.
Unfortunately, I don't have an all-encompassing explanation for you, but hopefully someone else will. In the meantime, here's a few links to get you started:

After reading the attached flyer, and your description of his movements, I'm surprised he would go through all the trouble of teaching that crap. If he is a genuine sifu/si gung of Hop Gar, Mok Gar, dragon ,etc., he could make a good living teaching that. I guess a con job and sipping tea all day is easier work than actually teaching kung fu.
A crying shame. -

I like to think of myself as a kung fu fan...there are faster systems, more agressive in mentality or plain practical in their aproach to combat. I "taste" them every chance I get and always get good things out of it...but in my heart I will always consider myself a kung fu fan, so...this kind of stories are the type of things that always break my heart! It's sad in so many ways...that instructor might actually be a good fighter and actually have some good expertise in body mechanics(I rarely talk about chi since I haven't been proved its existence) or he might just be another member of the fake squad that for years have been plaguing the chinese martial arts specially the internal arts! How does someone end like that? Is it money? Is it ego? Can he be described as a bad person? Why?
It's sad when you believe in a ideal and you're confronted almost everytime with stories like these! "No touck knockdowns", "my system is too deadly for sparring" and so on and so on...From the moment I began studying kung fu I always had a critical aproach to what I was told and taught. I'm a big boy and I had to see the move work in me or else tell them in their face that it didn't! I'm that kind of guy...of course that brought me some sort of pain several times, but there were times when it didn't go as the instructor said it would...but I held the critic just because of the explanation that came out of the situation. It sounds so much more real when someone tells you that the technique didn't work because you're a big boy and fully resistent instead of blaming it on the "chi flow not beeing the correct one at that time of day"(believe me, I've heard that somewhere).
So here we have yet another situation where internal martial artists manage to destroy the art almost by themselfs. Yeah, almost by themselfs and sometimes with the help of people like bunyip and others who simply give them the rope and watch those individuals hang themselfs in a spetacular fashion. I like Hsing-i and its spin-off and as I said...it makes me sad everytime I see all the bullshit that swirls around the CMA and the internal ones!
Because of that, and that's nothing personnal Bunyip, but I secreatly wish he would give an astounding proof of his martial abilities, with chi or without. But being the down to earth guy that I am and knowing it's probably bullshido or some sort of spin-off I guess it will end with you staying at your current school, along with any new student and with me enjoying the video...laughing out loud and with a silent tear running through my face.
Great thread Bunyip...and excellent challenge to yet another possible bullshidoka or maybe a guy in a McKwoon! Peace -

Well i believe there is some other force in this universe but of course have yet to see any physical evidence or someone using it in that way. Although i believe what i believe, i doubt this man is doing any of this. But hey you never know, he just might be telling the truth and just may be able to use chi in that way. OR he could be decepting his students into thinking somehow that they are being hit by a big chi wave or whatever. Either way, let me get him on the ground and no chi will help his ass.

I agree with kokujin. Stories like this make me sad. Its like you watch all those kung fu movies when your a kid, and think "hey I cant wait to learn this." Then you find out that its all fake. Well most of it. On second thought, stories like this make me angry. Very angry. I can only dream of a world where people went around and beat the **** outta every peddler of lies out there.....ahhh well its nice to dream...
