I was brutally sodomized in my first thread.

    It made me stronger.

And that was in the McDojo days.

I got "Omega-ed", but that was by Omega. Well I was also involved in the whole "Gorilla Cousins" thread when someone mentioned the Dog Brothers and a few posters decided to screw with us noobs and act like DBMA was all nonsense.

I have to admit that it is cheezy (with a "z") to see noobs hazing other noobs. Like we award rep and pat them on the butt if they can show how much they "fit in", when in actuality they would fit in better if they didn't pull that crap.

If my initial trip to this board had consisted of morons asking me about my underwear in the midst of an attempt at a rational post or a discussion on Martial Arts I'd have never signed up.

It's not a matter of being offended, it's a matter of not wasting my time.

I was lucky, my entry to this board and the people I talked to the most at the begining or read and took cues from were guys like Asia and Wastel, or JKD Chick or Omega. Sure they were twits on occasion (Everyone is) But the first words out of their mouth to me were not strings or moronic insults and tactless behavior.

As others have said, we don't need Moderation, we need a bit of self willed quality control on our own posting.

PS: On the other hand, people who want change need to be involved more. It's easy for me to speak my opinion on this. And I genuinly wish people would follow it. But sitting here at a few hundred posts as an unsupporting member who hasn't hit a Throwdown yet and hasn't helped out a fraud... I don't really feel MY place is to try and control the quality. Now once I get things together, have more money to donate and more time to check out schools I'll probably become very very loud on here for the side of basic civility (Note I find a large difference between Blunt Civility and PC absurdity).

I agree with your points whole heartedly. By the way, what color are your panties?

I think the majority of the stupidity that is posted on here is by noobs and therefore if you're a retard, you shouldn't post

This thread doesn't apply to most of us who post on a normal basis

Strange, I've never noticed any of these things some of these posters are complaining about.

If that's not what you got from the initial post, then you and I are reading different posts.

I'm not going to sit here and analyze the entire post for you. He's compalining about people being rude.

I do agree with the rest of your post, though, especially self willed quality control. I just don't think that's his primary complaint.

This might be a little harsh ... but the odds of a 14 year old girl being able to handle this place are pretty slim. A 14 year old TKDist? NO WAY. God, she got off LIGHT. I would have verbally assaulted her sooner or later.

That could take a while, and probably result in another flame war.

It might be easier if you give a definition of a bullshido art.
