I guess all those damn guys that fight in mma events and get choked out are just too nice for their own good.

So is it a massive thing, or just friends getting together kind of thing? Sounds fun though.

The easy way to handle this is

"What do you do that is more realistic then the UFC?"

Do you actually bite eachother, spit in eachothers eyes? Rip eyes out?

If not, and on top of that you dont even do moderatelyhard sparring then you're even less realistic then the UFC so you certainly cant sit back on your haunches and question the "realism" of MMA

And another thing, we really wasnt clear on the rules, so I just assumed my regular set of rules.

Next thing I know, some monkey was on my back taking me down. And I was getting my knees and nuts kicked.

So that really wasnt fair, next time its gonna be hells fury and no mercy for the wicked!

My only problem with UFC is that people use moves that they know can't be countered because of rules. Thats all. I'd in no way like to fight any of those guys or do I think I could win in the ring. And, I'm also not questioning their skill and power. Just the organization. But, I can see why there are rules.

And, no we don't gouge our eyes out, thats no way to train! :P But, we don't pull punches, I have bitten people and spit in their face. Not frequently though. And, although we don't beleive in sparring, we do beleive in rough and hard training, and randori. Which, isn't really sparring, but more of a situational kind of thing. Like I said before, I don't know much about sparring other than when people have come in and asked to spar "respectfully" for points or submission. So, I'm ignorant in what other martial arts classify sparring.
