I can see Lex Luthor now.
"HAHAHA! This time, you are DOOMED, Kal-El! Fear my Kryptonite watch, tieclip, comb, and dog collar!!"
You'd think Krypton exploded next to Earth or something.

You all realise this is made by Brian Singer - the guy that brought the Xmen to the big screen.
Thats pretty much all you need to know about Superman Returns. Its going to rock. The Wastrel - So attractive he HAS to be a woman.

Except Superman as a character is boring.Who, for Pete’s sake! Is opposing science? In fact, we want MORE science by CRITICALLY ANALIZING the evidence-Connie Morris, Kansas State BOE (bolding and underlining part of original quote, red is my emphasis)
As long as you try to treat your subjective experiences as if they were objective experiences, you will continue to be confounded by people who disagree with you.-some guy on an internet messageboard

But the actors chosen are going to be suck... I like Kevin Spacy but he's not Lex Luthor. And Kate Bosworth looks like an old woman with too many face lifts (think Cher).

Bryan Singer MAY pull this out of the trash, but he's doing it at the expense of being a jerk and potentially ruining X-Men 3.
I'm looking forward to X-3, not the least because they finally put Angel in and the guy playing Beast is actually close to perfect. But because Singer wandered off to do Super Man for the heck of it and deserted this film we're now stuck with it being directed by the guy who did the Rush Hour films....
So he's potentially responsible for two crappy movies, one because while he's directing the script looks atrocious and the other because he deserted it to go make the first bad film.

Superman was cool because he acts as more of a metaphor than a character. Kind of like Horthorn's characters, only cooler because it's all about sticking it to THE MAN.
When they try to focus on his emotions they fucking ruin it. The best Superman related stuff has always been where Superman was part of the backdrop, as a constant reminder that the best parts of the human condition are invincible.

I don't remember it. All I remember was a shitty movie with a bunch of talking at the end. Refresh my memory.
They *could* pull this off. IF they make it into a musical. On ice.
