I think a lot of you are confusing gay and "queer". "Queer" is a movement (although the word can mean non-movement gay people, it often refers to this movement). The situation was such that a lot of gays were saying "come on come on, let us into your club, we're just like you, we only sleep with members of the same sex, but otherwise, EVERYTHING about us is the same". And a lot of other homosexuals were like, "no, we actually are DIFFERENT". And so that group began adopting the word "queer" to insist that they are indeed different from hetersexuals. This doesn't mean that they aren't *human* and don't deserve the same rights as straights, simply that there are differences in the lives of straight and gay people. This is a horribly watered down version of some factors in the queer movement, but I don't really feel like typing a whole lot.

And to help define "queer"; many will claim that the only "correct" sexual activity is procreative sex with your opposite sex spouse. Anything outside of that (non-procreative, premarital, extramarital, inter-generational, solo, group, pornographic, bought, oral, anal, etc) is technically "queer" because it isn't "normal". And if that's the case, I'm sure all of you are queer as well.

Thanks for the clearing up there Beka... I didnt realise there was that distinction... I for one dont claim any sexual practice is correct... hell I cant get it right even half the time... doh too much info... *scurries off into the night*
