    goodridge was paid to wear a gi from some local school. he didnt really train there.

    im sure there are articles somewhere, but im too lazy to look for one. watch ufc's greatest ko's 1 and 2. they mention that he didn't really train in that style.

    I think Sherdog has an interview with Goodridge where he talks about that (or had). Basically he saw the KSW school was raising money to send one of their fighters to the UFC, he figured he could beat him so he went in, fought him and won, so they decided to send Goodridge as a representative instead. He insisted on getting official ranking from whoever the GM in Korea is, got awarded 4th Dan BB in it before taking a class. Then he took 3 classes of it after that to get some idea, but he was a pure armwrestling brawler when he fought in the UFC initially.
