Is it Hapkido as it's taught in 95% of the schools in the US, or Hapkido that magically uses the guard, triangle chokes, heel hooks, etc, or in other words, BJJ/Judo/SubGrappling under the Hapkido name?

The first. It's a traditional Hapkido School.

We'll see how it plays out. . .
I know what Phrost means: Most TMA schools spar like boxers/kickboxers.

Sorry, my bad. Let me rephrase that:
Most TMA-ers, when sparring, will imitate the stances and ready position they perceive is being practiced by those trained in boxing and kickboxing. And then
proceed to throw techniques that are neither their ma, nor prober boxing techniques.

    That sounds stupid. Thanks.

    *ahem

I have a 12-1 kickboxing record with a 3-1 3 ko's amateur and 8-0 pro fights with 8 ko's. I've technically never done an ounce of formal boxing or kickboxing for my first 11 fights. Please take your opinion and shove it up your ass.

Ouch. Let us know how the Hapkido fight turns out, though.
