Looks like either TKF lawyers scared the host into shutting it down, or paid someone off.
Goodbye yellow site!
All that good information about how TKF is such a scam, all the posts from ex-instructors and ex-students is lost.
How Grand Master Simon was making $2000 per studio, per month in royalties.... that's about $24,000 from Canada and another $6,000 US EVERY MONTH!
Not bad for a retired guy.
Anyone want to start another forum??
Anyone know of any servers that would be safe from the legal poo-heads?

I say we host it.

I agree. It's extremely important for people to hear about the experiences of ex-students and instructors.
The other forum was problematic sometimes because of blatantly slanderous content, but here's a chance to start fresh and keep everyone informed about the *real* stuff that goes on there.

Recently, the whole senior class (Pai hu Shi) walked out on the Winnipeg TKF studio, due to a triple increase on their costs. This combined with a lack of instruction and poor quality or non-existant training material i.e pads, bags, made many members who were already on the fence regarding all the other crap surrounding O.E. Simon finally decide they'd had enough.
The group now trains together at a local BJJ studio and is learning how to integrate their style with others, to train the weak links with full contact sparring (something missing from TKF.
The other studio in Winnipeg is run by an instructor that was yellow belt two years ago.
Total crap business management out to swindle you.
They were trying to sell us a $10,000 "chartered membership". When we declined out yearly fees went from $480 to $1600. Coincidence, I THINK NOT.
I had copied some of the material from the old site, knowing it would soon disappear, and I'll try to post some later.
I'll let the ex-instructors I know, know about this site.

How in the heck can they be shut down? There are hundreds of product advocacy sites on the Net. What made this one so different that it could be shut down?

Well, it was an unmoderated forum on a freesite wasn't it? Almost anytime that situation exists, if you pick through the board with a fine tooth comb, you can find something that violates the freesite's TOS, which are useally strict but selectively enforced.
There's no choice but to confront you, to engage you, to erase you. I've gone to great lengths to expand my threshold of pain. I will use my mistakes against you. There's no other choice.
