    Hell yeah! Hell no!
About 1 1/2 to 2 weeks ago I was doing curls with a friend at a local gym.

I just got done doing 2 sets of I dont' know 40 lbs. maybe? Then we changed the weight up and added 10 lbs. to the bar.

After that I tried to get it up but couldn't and tried about twice more but couldn't bring it up past my chest.

THe next day I had extreme discomfort on the right side of my right wrist where the bone is that pops up. I am pretty sure that it is strained its been going on for awhile whenI pull it to either side like holding your hand infront of your face and moving from side to side.

I would like to know if anyone has any ideas how to quicken healing, since I can't really get good grips because it puts pressure on my wrist and I can't really rotate it.
I'll make one when I can find one I like.

Its just a strain in the right side of my wrist, even though if I put to much pressure on it, it pops sometimes.

    What is jow?

rest it. go to the doctor if it persists.

Always Dr first, but I have had that injury to both wrists I believe. In my case both times, it was either the lateral or colateral ligaments, that is what causes the pain, which can be fairly profound when the hand is pulled away from the damage. Only your Dr can tell you for sure, but Ligature injury must be rested and restricted or it can go on for ever, over and over. See or call your Dr. He may be willing to tell you what kind of brace to put on and for how long. Mine got to where we just discussed the injury by phone before wasting time in going in.

    Carbon,

Your forearms are not yet up to the strenght of your biceps. I have had this injury several times in my lifting career, and it comes specifically from doing curls that are to heavy for the forearms. You should ice the injury the first day, this will speed the healing by reducing any swelling and preventing more blood from gorging the area. DO NOT APPLY HEAT on the day of the injury, it can increase swelling and cause more injury.

Rest is the best way to heal this. In the future try only lifting to your forearms capacity, slowing down the repetitions and working to muscular failure with a lighter weight. Over time, the forearm strength will catch up to your biceps and you will not stress or injure your forearms as easily.

    Sincerely,

Knowing it is not enough, we must apply.
Willing is not enough, we must do.

Dit Dat Jow...(spelling changes, it's originally chinese) Y'know, medicine. Usually some kind of alcohol-based rubbing medicine. Snake oil, most of the time. :P

Ligament damage is a bad one because ligaments are often moved, especially in the wrists and knees.

DRD is correct, although I would also suggest regular doses of either Aspirin or Ibuprofine (anti-inflammatories to avoid swelling in the joints and reduce internal friction/reinjury). But you'll want to ask your doctor about the dose, sometimes it can irritate the stomach.
