Hello there! If anyone's still interested in this type of punch, I could explain the technique. I don't know how do they call it, but, actually, it is a straight punch. This motion just delivers the momentum of the shoulder, and makes the punch more powerfull. Yes, it contains some kind of circle motion, cause all your joints work in circle motion, since all those have an axle. Could anyone tell me, WTF is SANBO?

Apologies my friend. I'm assuming English is not your first language. SANBO is a typing error. They meant to type SAMBO which is the western way of typing COMBO. For the record there were already a few people that have mentioned what you have from previous threads.

Accepted. SAMBO is the right way to spell. And the real SAMBO could contain any of the useful punches. It is a combination of lots of old systems. SAMBO is an abbreviation: SAMooborona Bez Oruzhija (unarmed self defence). Dunno, what COMBO means, or is it a combination of the punches?

My advice to you is to realize who you're speaking to before you go on a lecture. For the record I'm a SAMBO instructor. I've been doing SAMBO for 18 years now. I know for a fact that there are 4 ways to spell SAMBO and it isn't an abbreviation. It's an acronym. That's just me being a grammar Nazi. You may want to stick to Newbietown.

It's not an actual hook or any other boxing category of punch, as it does not land with the scoring portion of the glove. Obviously Koepfer is the person to ask about this, but this should suffice for now.

Acronym is also a kind of abbreviation, and anyone should apologize if he calls someone an idiot. Even if it's an instructor, or a founder of a new school. Anyway, it depends on the education. Are you teaching combat or sport SAMBO?
