    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    Kickboxing in Pittsburgh

ok I've been looking into places that hopefully teach Muay Thai in the pittsburgh area.

And the only one I've found is this one: http://www.themaap.com/

Now I downloaded the "Theme Song" video earlier and noticed the picture of the 3 young girls on the front page as a freeze frame in the video.

Basically I'm asking if anyone knows if this is a reputable school and the picture was just included in the video because it looked funny, or if I should stay far away from this place because it truely is a McDojo.

And if it is, does anyone have any recomendations cause I'm not finding any online/yellow pages.

Isn't there a place that offers Muay Thai downtown somewhere?

I'm not sure. I've been looking over the phone book and online and that's the only real place that has it.

    I'll keep looking though.

It was Steel City Kickboxing or something like that. An actual pro MT fighter runs it.

well I did find a place called "Steel City Boxing Association" but that's on the Northside.

I think you're thinking of "Iron City Gym"

Unfortunately their website is no longer working (according to archive.org they were last working sometime in late 2004)

I dunno if they just let the site die, or if they no longer exist at all.

They should still be around. The address should be out there somewhere at least.

Just dug up some info. They used to be out in Monroeville but did in fact go out of business. Where at in Pittsburgh are you?
